Mama's Blessed : Make Me Want To Sponsor You

Make Me Want To Sponsor You

Monday, September 8, 2014

Here are a few ways that would help me want to sponsor your blog, or sponsor again.

- promote. Or at least acknowledge that I just spent my money to sit on your side bar for a month. Even if the spot does not include social media mentions and such, would it hurt to at least tweet a welcome to my side bar Ashley or something?

-answer e-mails. You want to use your blog as a business & make some cash, then treat your e-mails business like too. I am not talking about the style of your e-mail convo with me, but ANSWER my e-mails if I e-mail you. & to be honest... if I am sponsoring you, you should e-mail me thanking/welcoming me to your side bar.

-follow. If you do not like my blog content & do not like what I tweet about, then why are you advertising me on your blog? You should be following me, somewhere on the internet & try to interact at least a few times during the month. Make it seem like you care & are happy to have me.

I mean seriously, I chose your blog to sponsor & spend my few dollars on over other blogs. That should make you happy & want to try right?

I know I am not the only one that feels that these are some important things to follow through on when it comes to the bloggers we are choosing to sponsor.. Anything else you want to add?!

  2. all important, totally. I keep notes/feedback for myself on each blog I sponsor and if any of them don't do all of the things you just mentioned, I definitely don't sponsor them again in the future.

  3. Thanks for reading! Yeah I have taken note as well.. So I know not to make the same mistakes. & also to be sure that I do not end up being that same way to the people that sponsor me!

  4. YES! This is great...and why I love sponsoring people like you. The following part is such a big deal to me. At least follow me for the month, if nothing else!

  5. This is so true! I've been sponsoring other blogs for several months now, and this is definitely the criteria by which I decide if I'll sponsor someone again. I've sponsored some people who are AMAZING and go way above and beyond to help promote my blog. Other people I don't even hear from the entire month. I try my best to do everything I can to help my sponsors so they will want to come back, or at least tell others about me!

  7. I have also had experience with both types as well. & I agree, I want to be the blogger that my sponsors are glad they chose my blog over others & spread the love!

  8. Lots of bloggers feel this way, more than I thought! So i am working hard to make sure I follow through on all those things when it comes to the ladies that sponsor me.

  9. Good thoughts-- nice and straight forward too :) I haven't started doing paid sponsorship opportunities yet -- at what point did you switch from "button-swaps" to paying for sidebar space? Thanks :)

  10. Well I started selling just recently. But buying ad spots, probably no more than 4/5 months ago. I wasnt really sure if I was ready, just thought I would give it a try. Had an amazing experience with the first two ladies I sponsored. So kept going. But Have also had bad experiences too.

I love when they offer a great promo code to renew my sponsorship too - it makes me feel valued.
