Mama's Blessed : 5 Bible Verses for Motivation

5 Bible Verses for Motivation

Monday, May 11, 2015

Everyone needs some motivation sometimes. I know I have for a few months now. Packing, moving, looking for jobs all the while doing my normal mama and wife duties. I enjoy turning through the pages of my Bible and finding some inspiration.. some motivation to get stuff done. If you are in need of some motivation for whatever you are trying to do, here are a few of my FAVORITE Bible verses that will help you!

Arise, for it is your task, and we are with you; be strong and do it.
Ezra 10:4

I can do all things through him who strengthens me.
Philippians 4:13

God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved; God will help her when morning dawns.
Psalm 46:5

But you, take courage! Do not let your hands be weak, for your work shall be rewarded.
2 Chronicles 15:7

"Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you."
Matthew 17:20

And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.
Galatians 6:9

Where do you turn for motivation? Your bible? What is your favorite verse to give you that push you need?

  2. Love these.
I haven't been to church since I got divorced in 2013. I'm a believer but haven't had the courage to go back since I got divorce because I've always been afraid of people judging.

  3. Jasmine, that is so difficult. I am sorry for your hard times.
As long as you and the Lord have worked out what happened in your divorce, no one has a right to judge. And even though some people may judge, there are also a lot of great people in the church that can help build you up. You need that. We all need that.
I would encourage you to keep seeking godly fellowship.
Plus, the point of church is not the other people there, but rather, praising God in a body of believers, with a solid pastor who can encourage you in godliness :)
I understand your hesitation about church. Actually my blog post today was about how the church hurt my family. But I am a firm believer that there are still awesome people in the church that can help you on your journey.
I have found a church that is genuine, and I am sure you can too. :)

  33. I understand that. I have not been to church in YEARS.. like more than 5! I want to get back in the church so bad. It is such an amazing feeling, and I am missing that. Do not let others ignorance stop you from going. I have been to a church with a divorced pastor. The Lord forgives and understands. & people are not in church to be judging.. and if they are they are in the wrong place!

  36. Ever since starting college Philippians 4:13 has been my go-to verse. Recently though, I love Romans 8:31 thanks to the song "Our God" by Chris Tomlin.
