Today's topic is:

Dating my Daughter/Son – spending special time on “dates” with our kids

Special dates with our toddler is VERY important now that we have a 5 month old daughter that we have to share our attention & love with. It always broke my heart before having her and shortly after when I would think of my toddler feeling left out. But soon I realized that was NEVER going to happen. & she was going to make sure of that! Ha! Park visits, shopping trips, golfing, visiting museums & such are all counted as dates with our toddler. Mama & mini swim time is always fun. I do want to start one on one dates with her soon. Moving, looking for jobs, & getting my 5 month old use to a bottle have made that kind of hard lately. I want to take her to a movie & get frozen yogurt. That sounds like a perfect date! & I am sure daddy will continue having his little golf buddy tag along.

Do you take your mini(s) on dates? What do y'all enjoy doing?

  4. Good ideas...they don't even have to cost anything to make it happen. Especially having one-on-one time with the oldeset when a baby arrives is crucial. So much to look forward to for you and your little ones. Linking up from Mamas Tell All

  13. Dates are hard but they are the best. I'm trying to squeeze lots in right now before baby #2 arrives. We did a trip to Krispy Kreme and got a special "tour", we went strawberry picking and to the ice cream factory - tomorrow we are headed to the zoo. You're an awesome mama! Keep up the good work and don't be so hard on yourself.
